HB Mail Readonly Privacy Policy

HB Mail Readonly is operated by May Hu for private use with her own connected accounts.

Access and purpose

With the account owner's consent, the app uses Google's Gmail read-only permission to review mail. This permission can expose message headers, content, labels and attachments. The current version reads inbox listings and account identity to verify the connection; it does not download attachments or store message bodies.

Storage and sharing

Google connection credentials and authorization tokens are stored in the owner's macOS Keychain. Local configuration stores account identifiers and connection status. Mail data is processed on the owner's Mac. The app currently sends no mail content to an external AI provider, public website or team dashboard.

Before AI summarization, persistent mail storage or team sharing is enabled, this notice will be updated with the specific processing arrangements and the owner will approve that change. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train or improve generalized AI models.

These public information pages are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes routine request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the pages. They contain no mailbox login, tracking scripts or mail content.

Retention and control

Credentials remain stored until the owner removes the connection. Access can be revoked at any time through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future access but does not erase local configuration or Keychain entries. The owner can request their removal using the contact below. The current app does not keep a persistent archive of mail content.

Google data policy

HB Mail Readonly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
